Eun Jung Choi + Guillermo Ortega Tanus
STICKY (work-in-progress)
Guest Choreographer: Melanie Stewart
Visual Artists: Liz Goldberg and Raymond Ercoli
“STICKY” explores the nature of bonding as one human is to another, in image and in memory, examining sticky situations in relationships through a multi layered use of movement, 3-d media, film animation, music and text. The work builds upon the inherent nature of coupling in Da·Da·Dance Project as a duet company, our abilities to improvise and collaborate across discipline, and their experience in both live performance and media design.
Through studio research and experimentation the collaborators will focus on what “sticks” (as in “sticky” web content) in a complex multi – layered environment built to explore the nature of a romantic relationship utilizing the movement/text created by Eun Jung Choi and Guillermo Ortega Tanus directed by Melanie Stewart, overlaid with imagery by Raymond Ercoli and Liz Goldberg in Film Animation.
